JOB SUMMARY
Primary Responsibilities:
- Works alongside mechanical engineers to create and modify part and assembly models in 2D and 3D and generate and modify 2D drawings based on these models.
- Maintain structured bills of material and parts lists for assemblies.
- Reviews drawings for layout, completeness, accuracy, constructability, and adherence to internal design/drafting standards.
- Contribute to the improvement and maintenance of internal design/drafting standards.
- Ensures that designs are consistent with internal standards, project technical requirements and scope.
- Checks assigned drawings supplied by vendors, clients and other discipline groups throughout the project to ensure quality designs.
- Ensures quality, quantity, and completeness of the assigned design tasks.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in mechanical design.
- Associates degree or higher in Drafting & Design Technology, Engineering Graphics or Engineering Technology preferred
- Well organized with ability to schedule own workload.
- Ability to comprehend, understand design concepts for large industrial equipment for pharmaceutical and like applications.
- As key member of Project Team may be required to interact with customers and various internal/external personnel.
- Acts with integrity in all elements of responsibility.
- Consistently observe and promote Safety Health Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) site requirements.
WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU A GREAT FIT
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Vault
- Experience with P+ID and process piping
- Experience working with pressure vessels
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Openness to travel (domestic or international)
