For the IMA AUTOMATION Division, we are looking for a Software Designer – Robotics & Vision.

IMA AUTOMATION designs and manufactures prototype machines and production lines for the assembly of components in various application areas, such as the medical, automotive, and e-mobility sectors.

Work location: Zola Predosa (BO)

The Role

• Collaborate in selecting the solutions and devices to be implemented, designing and developing software applications for functions, groups, machines, and lines based on functional specifications, within the applicable requirements and guidelines established by the division and the company, to ensure the proper operation of the machine or line;
• Conduct tests either on a test bench or directly on the machine or line, related to the developed software;
• Support the Electrical Assembly team in machine configuration and power-up activities and, when necessary, assist during the FAT with the customer and provide training to the customer on the machines/lines;
• Oversee R&D projects specifically focused on the fields of Vision Systems and Robotics.

Experience & Skills

• Master’s Degree in Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or Computer Science;
• 2–3 years of work experience in a similar role, preferably in the automation sector;
• Technical skills related to vision systems and software programming in C#, Python, and C++;
• Willingness to travel frequently for medium-term domestic and international assignments;
• Good knowledge of English.

Compensation Package

The initial gross annual salary will be € 39,000, in accordance with the National Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Metalworking Industry, with the possibility of an increase based on the candidate’s experience and skills, in accordance with objective and gender-neutral criteria.
